Plans in full swing for Retford Charter Day

by | 15 April 2019 | Community Event, Retford

Plans are now in full swing for this year’s Retford Charter Day event. The town, once again, will be buzzing with lots of entertainment on Monday 6th May.
Worksop Motor Club will be in the town centre, whilst the Classic Jaguar Club will be in the park. There will be entertainment in the Town Hall Ballroom with singing and dancing, and also on the Performance Area in the park. In the Market Square, as usual, will be the Annual Scruff’s Dog Show, with all proceeds going to the Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK).
The Fire Station will be open from 10.00am, giving you the chance to see some specialist equipment, and the Majestic Theatre will be giving tours from 10.00am. In the park there will be the Dog Agility Team, Harworth Drummers, Punch and Judy and much more to enjoy.
Later on, the Lions’ Red and Yellow Duck Races will take place. Why not take the opportunity to have a try at green bowls and tennis. Lots of tempting food will be available all day and in the Buttermarket you will find a good variety of craft stalls. Also, open will be the Museum and Captain Jacks soft play area for children to use. There will be lots more to see.
