You are invited to a new photographic exhibition in Headon Village Hall on Friday 15th March from 7.30pm. Snacks will be available and the bar will be open! If you live in Headon cum Upton, or lived here in the past, you will want to see the new photo gallery in the Village Hall!
For some years now people have lent or donated photographs for different occasions, and the result is an accumulation of interesting pictures. After some debate about how to preserve and display these photos it was decided that framing them was the best way to share them with residents.
They show a variety of people, places and events and cover more than 100 years. You will be able to see how the village has changed, possibly even how your house has changed over the years. You might find relatives or people you knew and you will see some of the events which interested the villagers in the past.
You will be able to meet and talk to the people who created this exhibition: Claire Walker (Trent Framing) and Ron Beare (photographer) who, between them, have so much knowledge and expertise. They, together with some members of the Village Hall Committee, have generously invested a lot of time and effort into this project and done it with interest and empathy!
