North Notts Local Group of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Group

by | 5 October 2023 | Retford, Wildlife

October’s talk to the North Notts Local Group of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is about the two neighbouring counties of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Popular local speaker Ted Gray will takes members on a tour of these two shires, linked – or maybe divided – by the River Trent. As he explores their history, landscape and nature, he gradually reveals the beauty and historic role of the two counties.

Ted is a very interesting speaker and one the group felt fortunate to engage for last year’s programme of talks. On that occasion, he spoke of the transformation of the old colliery spoil heaps into wildlife rich country parks. This year’s talk promises to be just as interesting as Ted expands his focus to include a historical perspective.

This meeting will be held at Idle Valley Centre on Thursday 12th October at 7.15pm; £3.00 entry includes tea and biscuits. All are welcome; no need to book.
