Come and enjoy an evening of glorious choral, instrumental and vocal solo music being performed at The Crossing Church and Centre, on Saturday 8th June, by North Notts Chamber Choir and Sarentino Strings, a talented professional Sheffield based string quartet.
The choir is hoping to build on the success of last year’s summer event which delighted its audience, not only by the quality of its singing but with the variety of music being performed.
Highlights of this year’s diverse programme will be Purcell’s well loved ‘Bell Anthem-Rejoice in the Lord Always’, and the famous aria ‘When I am laid in earth’, Monteverdi’s ‘Beatus Vir’, Vivaldi’s ‘Summer’ from The Four Seasons and Mozart’s ‘Alleluia’ from Exultate Jubilate as well as ‘The Long Day Closes’ by Arthur Sullivan and Freddie Mercury’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The concert will be directed by Tim Uglow, Director of Music at Worksop College, and piano accompaniment will be performed by Charlotte Phillips.
The Crossing is one of North Nottinghamshire’s top public concert halls and offers superb well equipped and accessible facilities for both performers and audiences. Refreshments are available.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets for this event are priced at £10.00 (adults), £4.00 (under 16s) and are available from the Welcome Desk at The Crossing Church and Centre, Newcastle Street, Worksop S80 2AT, or order by phone on 01909 475421. Alternatively email email@example.com.
