The last talk of the North Notts Association of National Trust Members’ 2022-23 programme was after the AGM on 19th April, when Kathy Powis’ interesting talk ‘One Moment in Time’ informed on the raising of the Mary Rose – Henry VIII’s flagship – and all the items found in the wreckage. The next season of talks will begin in October.

Outside visits started on 23rd May with a private visit to Doddington Hall and gardens with guided tour and afterwards to the International Bomber Command Centre (change to printed programme) and continue in June with a visit to Whitby. Details of the next three outings from July will be sent out to members very shortly.

Talks take place at the Crossing on Newcastle Avenue, Worksop; doors open at 7.00pm, with talks starting at 7.30pm.

Membership is £30.00 single or £55.00 joint, and covers seven talks from October to April. The summer outings are all paid for separately as and when they take place. National Trust members are welcome as visitors and pay £6.00 per talk.

Forthcoming visits

  • 15th June: Whitby and North Yorkshire Railway
  • 14th July: Skipton Castle and Canal
