As North Leverton and Habblesthorpe’s contribution to the celebrations of The Queen’s 70 years on the throne, they, along with every other official beacon site in the UK and Commonwealth will be lighting their beacon at 9.45pm on Thursday 2nd June. This will be followed by a display by Rainbow Fireworks.
The village’s event will be in Windmill Field, starting at 5.00pm, and they hope they have something for everyone, including a free taxi service with disabled access running to and from the village throughout the evening
The Royal Oak are providing a bar and they have hot dog / burger, crepe, coffee, pizza and ice cream vans and a selection of craft stalls.
There will be a Leverton’s Got Talent competition and the winner will be invited to appear at The Leverton Stomp on 25th June.
They have a magician who will be moving round the crowd hoping to delight and amaze you as well as a children’s entertainer doing face painting and interesting things with balloons, a craft area, a display by Blue Ice Cheerleaders and a DJ to keep things swinging along.
There will be competitions to find the Best Decorated House, Best Jubilee Cake and Best Decorated Crown, with winners to be announced on the night.
Get involved in garden games, including throwing soft balls and bean bags at and into things, Giant Jenga and Connect Four.
