A committee of residents in North Leverton are appealing for support with their plans for an event to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Plans are being made for a family fun afternoon, followed by the lighting of the village’s beacon on Thursday 2nd June. They hope to invite those living in the village to the celebration, which will include activities for all the family, a Leverton’s Got Talent competition, stalls, food, music, a bar and a professional fireworks display before the beacon lighting.
They have already applied for grants to support the event and they are hoping the businesses in the village will be generous with donations. However, they are now hoping to attract others who could offer money, ideas and / or time to make the event a success.
