Everything from opera to rock ’n’ roll, from jazz to folk with the occasional comedy theatre thrown in for good measure. This is what the regulars have come to expect at North and South Wheatley Village Hall.

Recent extensive refurbishment of the hall, together with the grant of a bar licence, has enabled the village hall team to organise a wide variety of entertainment to suit all ages and tastes.

On Saturday 9th September, it will host the popular quarterly Coffee Morning and Table Top Sale from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Entrance is only £1,.00 which includes the first tea or coffee. Tables are £5.00 and should be booked through Carole on 01427 880578.

The next musical event in the calendar takes place on Saturday 30th September when the hall hosts the Arts Council-recommended ‘Fordante’, a popular crossover group, who will present a spectacular and varied concert of some of most beautiful classics and film music ever written. The group is comprised of five very talented musicians and has been described as “like Andre Rieu with a smaller orchestra”. Visitors to this event will receive a welcome drink, canapés on arrival at 7.00pm and a meal during the interval. The concert starts at 7.30pm (bar open from 7.00pm) and tickets cost £15.00. To order tickets, or for further information, please call Carole on 01427 880758 or email Alan at alan.ryder50@gmail.com.

On Saturday 18th November, the hall will be holding the annual Quiz Night and on Sunday 10th December the ever-popular Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies will be welcomed back for his Christmas show.
