Misterton will be the focus when Bassetlaw historian, Adrian Gray, leads his next ‘walk and talk’ on Saturdays 5th and 12th June. He will start at Misterton Parish Church then take in the Soss (from the Dutch for sluice), searching out the ‘tunnel drain’ and the lost chapel. He also has information on some famous Misterton characters. The walking distance is around three-and-a-half miles with some uneven ground. His company is a tourist organisation approved to take more than six people, but numbers will be limited to 20. To book, go to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Maggy on 07950 167821. The cost is £7.50, which includes a contribution to the Parish Church.
