Everyone is welcome at all events held by the Markham Clinton Community Project (MCCP), in partnership with All Saints’ Church, West Markham.
A successful Pre-Loved Sale and a VE Day celebration recently took place, with thanks extended to the committee and volunteers who helped make these events possible.
Heritage Open Days
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September
As part of the National Heritage Open Days, All Saints’ Church and Milton Mausoleum will be open across the weekend. Visitors can enjoy refreshments and are encouraged to contribute stories or records about life in the villages of Milton, West Markham and Bevercotes. The aim is to develop a shared historical identity for the parish. The findings of the Neighbourhood Plan will also be presented.
Regular events
There are no events planned for June as the team takes a short summer break, but activities resume in July:
- Wednesday 2nd July – Art, Crafts and Knit and Natter from 10.30am to 12.30pm
- Friday 4th July and Friday 15th August – Quiz Night at the Pub With No Beer from 7.00pm (Bring your own alcohol and reserve your table)

- Keep Fit with Katie – £7.00 per session (first week free)
- Art & Crafts – £8.00 per session (first week free)
- Knit & Natter – free, with a recommended donation of £3.50 for refreshments
MCCP offers thanks to Katie for leading fitness sessions, to Derrick Spence for his art teaching, and to Judith Osborne for her craft contributions.
Tuxford School Concert
July (date tbc)
Following last year’s sold-out event, another concert featuring local young talent is planned. Full details to follow.
Remembrance Sunday
9th November
The annual Armistice Remembrance Service will take place at 10.30am, followed by a community lunch. Singer Stacey Lynn will perform 1940s songs. Guests are welcome to dress in 1940s-style clothing if they wish. Booking information will be shared closer to the date.
Events are often free or subsidised with thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Church services at All Saints, Markham Clinton
There are no Holy Communion Services in June. Holy Communion with refreshments will be held on Sundays 20th July, 17th August and 21st September at 10.30am.
