On Thursday 18th May, the Lunchtime Music group at St Swithun’s Church in Retford has a departure from the normal routine: in addition to organ music, they have The Bramley House Trio.
The Bramley House Trio is a versatile group of musicians based in Nottinghamshire presenting a programme of organ, piano, voice and violin or viola, with music ranging from Brahms and Granados to Grieg, Warlock and Machell.
This should prove to be an interesting venture for the Lunchtime Music group, and may pave the way for future musical entertainment. Light lunch will be available from 12.15pm as usual. Entrance is free (also as usual) but the group does rely on your generosity to give what you can afford before departing.
The result of your donations has enabled them to renovate the pedal board to improve the action and to eliminate the clattering of worn pedal keys.
