Workshop: ‘Home Cooked Heritage’
Saturday 9th March, 10.00am to 12.30pm
Working creatively with artists and experts, explore the heritage of recipes and food from the past unearthed from Nottinghamshire Archives. Artworks created will be shared in an exhibition across Inspire Libraries galleries and eventually be added back into Nottinghamshire Archives for future historians to discover! Group session: ‘Exploring Local Newspapers’
Thursday 14th March, 2.30pm
Join two of Inspire’s heritage librarians for a small group session, where they will demonstrate the range and variety of local newspapers available in Inspire Libraries on microfilm and online. Talk: ‘A Virtual Tour of Worksop’ by Malcolm Dolby
Thursday 4th April, 7.30pm
Many heritage features survive in modern Worksop; some readily visible but others either completely hidden from view or difficult to spot. Malcolm Dolby’s presentation will take you around Worksop on a visual ‘walking tour’. Come along to see what he’s discovered about the sites and sights along the way. This is expected to be a very popular talk so please book early to avoid disappointment.
