On Wednesday 5th April Catherine Greensmith will give Les Francophiles de Tickhill an illustrated talk entitled ‘Bécassine, c’est ma cousine!’.
Bécassine, the heroine of a French comic strip, is the subject of many children’s books, much loved by children and adults alike. Catherine will take members through her adventures and her place in French culture.
Talks are in English but there is an opportunity to speak French during the meeting with many members being fluent in the language. Members old and new are welcome. The group meets in the Parish Room, Tickhill DN11 9HZ on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm.
