Lena Snowden Singers

After a necessary lockdown of 20 months, the Lena Snowden Singers are back together. The group reconvened last November and is again singing together every week.

It is true that ‘if you don’t use it, you lose it’ – as the Singers say was apparent at their first resumed practice! After several months of gentle guidance from their accompanist, Stephen, they are on their way back.

Many have experienced great changes in the last couple of years, and the Singers have returned a much smaller group. Nevertheless, they now feel ready to sing in public once again.

To this end they invite everyone to Hallcroft Methodist Church on Thursday 23rd June for a celebratory evening of song – celebrating firstly for the Queen’s Jubilee and also the fact that the Lena Snowden Singers are together again.

It will be a very informal evening with light refreshments. The evening will begin at 7.00pm. There will not be tickets or a charge, but the group would be grateful for any donations to help with expenses. There will also be a small raffle.
The evening will involve quite a bit of sing-along as well as pieces from the choir.

The Singers always welcome new members. Practices are held on Thursday afternoons at 1.00pm in Hallcroft Methodist Church. If you are interested, please talk to one of our members, or simply turn up. They would love to see you – at practice, and at their 23rd June celebration.
