St Michael the Archangel, Laxton, will be inviting the public to visit during Open Churches Weekend, on 7th and 8th July. The church will host a Wedding Fair on Saturday 7th July from 10.30am to 5.30pm. There will be displays of wedding dresses, flowers, cakes, photos and music playing. Tea, coffee and cakes will be served all day.
On Sunday 8th July, ‘Songs of Praise’ with Joan Wood will be held from 10.30am, featuring favourite wedding hymns and readings after which the church will remain open until 5.30pm. Tea and cakes will be served after the service and throughout the day.
The church invites all couples who are thinking of getting married in church; who have recently got married or who have been married to come along and join in this weekend to celebrate marriage.
