Despite a few injuries and niggles this month, including a trip to A&E, Jo and John Pritchard’s training for the London marathon has continued, as they clock up the miles. February has seen them running in the sun, rain, wind, hail and snow!
During February half term they continued their training while on holiday in the Lake District (cold and snowy), and one Saturday in February they met with other athletes running the London Marathon for the Brain Research Trust in London’s Hyde Park (lovely and sunny) — an amazing experience with lots of hints and tips about everything from training programmes to nutrition and footwear.
Closer to home, Jo has started training weekly with Graham Bottley who is also running the London Marathon for Christian Aid. Together, Jo and Graham are working towards the longer runs, even if it is at a slower pace with too much chatting! They are all feeling ready for the Retford Half Marathon later this month (11th March), so look out for them there!
