This year’s Heritage Open Days will run from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th and from 13th to 16th September. There are a number of local events and Doncaster Family History Society (FHS) has joined in for the first time, by opening up their Palgrave Research Centre in Balby, free to the public. ‘Who do you think they were?’ If you need help with your family history research or are new to finding your ‘roots’ then this ‘Surgery’ is the ideal opportunity, to learn more and maybe make some unexpected discoveries. So please drop in and see how Doncaster and District FHS can guide you through the process, whatever part of the UK or world your ancestors may have travelled to or from. There will also be a friendly chat and free teas or coffees.
Open on Thursday 6th September, from 2.00pm to 7.30pm, we are part of Doncaster Archives building in King Edward Road, Doncaster DN4 0NA. After 5.00pm, please use the Florence Avenue gate entrance. To discover more, please go to www.heritageopendays.org.uk and www.doncasterfhs.co.uk.
