History of patchwork

by | 5 March 2018 | Art, Hobbies, Retford

Suzannah Haywood made her first quilt in 1988 and she was hooked! She continues to make quilts to this day, as well as other forms of textile art, including wall hangings and projects where she dyes her own materials.

She will outline the history and development of quilt making from Japan and Medieval Europe to America, illustrating her talk with a range of interesting textile pieces, at the next meeting of the North Notts Creative Textiles Group at Goodwin Hall, Retford, on Wednesday 7th March at 7.00pm. Non-members very welcome — admission costs £5.00 on the door.
