Help raise funds for Bluebell Wood Hospice

by | 17 October 2021 | Local Charity, Retford

Members of the public and businesses are both being invited to stick their names and logos on Retford car enthusiast Stuart Dixon’s liveried car collection to help him reach his £250,000 fundraising target in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Stuart, from Retford, has dedicated the last five years to combining fundraising and his love of cars – and has now raised a total of over £182,200 for the local charity and other very ill children.
He covers some of his racing cars with permanent, sponsored, coloured vinyl stickers in return for a donation to the charity, and Stuart and his team of volunteers also drive them around the country to county shows, country fairs and Jaguar and classic car shows, as well as attending restaurant and garage ‘open days’. At the shows, people donate to sit in the cars and at some shows ride in them.
The public can buy stickers from £5.00 and businesses can have their company logo added for £200 and you can donate to his fundraising for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sherwoodjaguarracing. If you have an event you would like Stuart to attend please contact him through our magazine – email community@retfordlifemagazine.com.
