St Peter’s Church, Hayton will be holding its Annual Pet Service on Sunday 10th September at 4.00pm.
This beautiful service is dedicated to all animals – wild, farmed, abused and much-loved pets. It is the service to which the congregation bring their pets, be they dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises, guinea pigs, parrots, or anything else. Over the years a horse, an owl and several hives of bees have been blessed!
The informal service is led by Reverend Mark Cantrill and this year he will be joined by Bishop Andy.
Before and after the service people enjoy walking around the churchyard visiting the various stalls. Homemade cakes and hot drinks are served. It is always a delightful afternoon, especially loved by children who enjoy meeting all the animals. The church is looking forward to seeing many families and their pets.
Charities and crafters are invited to attend with a stall to sell items and show their work.
