Happy new year from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust!

Happy New year to all you wildlife lovers. Everyone’s hoping that it will be much better than 2020 but let’s not forget the lessons last year taught us, with all its restrictions – that the natural world is vital to our survival as well as our health and wellbeing.
We need to take that with us into 2021 so that instead of simply wishing one another a ‘Happy New Year’, we can do our bit towards making it happy by caring for our natural world. How? Google www.wildlifetrusts.org and you’ll be inspired by a wealth of beautiful pictures and brilliant ideas showing ways to help conserve and restore our precious wildlife and wild places. Go for a walk in the lovely Idle Valley Nature Reserve; take your children, grandchildren, talk to them about the birds and plants. You don’t need to be an expert to share your enjoyment with the next generation. What difference will it make? A massive difference if we’re all in it together. The tide is turning against rampant consumerism; let’s add our support and make it a really happy 2021.
