Sunday 3rd August, 11.00am to 5.00pm

NEW: 5 Bourne Drive, Ravenshead NG15 9FN

Very colourful garden with several aspects, two ponds, an allotment and leisure area with outdoor dining experience. Well stocked with multiple plants and trees. Several seating areas to capture the day’s sunlight. Wheelchair access, plants for sale, refreshments, card payments.

Sunday 17th August, 2.00pm to 5.00pm

The Poplars, Hawton NG24 3RL

A 1.2-acre garden extensively remodelled and replanted by its current owners. The garden wraps around an early Georgian farmhouse (not open). Explore several distinct areas including a formal garden planted with ornamental grasses and white flowering plants, Mediterranean style gravel patio and contemporary cottage garden. Each area planned for interest throughout the year including masses of spring bulbs. The garden is wheelchair accessible (driveways, lawned areas) apart from the gravel patio. Wheelchair access, dog friendly, plants for sale, refreshments, card payments.

Thursday 21st August, 10.30am to 3.00pm

Rhubarb Farm, Hardwick Street, Langwith NG20 9DR

This two-acre horticultural social enterprise provides training and volunteering opportunities to 60 ex-offenders, drug and alcohol misusers, older people, school students, people with mental and physical ill health and learning disabilities. There are eight polytunnels, 100 hens, pigs, donkey, a Shetland pony, forest school barn, Willow Dome and arch, large Keder polytunnel, flower borders, farm shop, pond, raised beds, comfrey bed and comfrey fertiliser factory and junk sculpture. Main path suitable for wheelchairs but bumpy. Not all site accessible. Cafe and composting toilet wheelchair accessible. Plants for sale, parking, refreshments, card payments.

Sunday 24th August, 1.00pm to 4.30pm

The Old Vicarage, Halam Hill, Halam NG22 8AX

An artful eye for design, texture, colour, love of unusual plants and trees makes this a welcoming gem to visit. This two-acre organic hillside garden has matured over 28 years into a much admired, popular, landscape garden with beautiful views. New bottom garden planting / design. Pond attracts diverse wildlife to complement plantings. Beautiful 12th century church open in the village through attractively planted churchyard. Top entrance gravel drive. Undulating levels as on a hillside. Plenty of help available. Wheelchair access, dog friendly, plants for sale, parking, refreshments, card payments.

Monday 25th August, 11.00am to 4.00pm

Whatton Gardens, Whatton NG13 9EQ

A group of three beautiful gardens within the village of Watton.

5 Burton Lane, Whatton

Organic cottage style garden which is productive, highly decorative and wildlife friendly with colour and scent from spring to autumn. Several distinct areas including fruit and vegetables. Large beds filled with over 600 varieties of plants and paths you can wander and get close, also features seating, gravel garden, pond, shade planting, pergola with Grapevine, wildflower lawn.

Cedarwood

A plant-woman’s garden developed over 20 years and planted for year-round colour and their attractiveness to wildlife as well as people. It includes various mixed orders, a pond, alpine crevice garden and woodland planting. Additionally, there is a newly planted matrix style grass bed. Many species of bees live here due to the variety of habitats and flower type

The Cottage

Walled cottage garden with generous herbaceous borders, wine covered pergola, herb area, patios, veg patch, and lots of roses. By arrangement visits also available. Plants for sale, refreshments, card payments.
