People in Nottinghamshire who have made a New Year’s resolution to volunteer could help transform the lives of thousands and girls and young women by joining Girlguiding.
Girlguiding’s adult volunteers inspire and empower girls and young women across the UK, giving their time so girls can have adventures, make friends, build confidence and develop skills they will use throughout their lives. Over 70,000 girls nationally are waiting for a place at Girlguiding, including 1,765 in Nottinghamshire.
Girlguiding Nottinghamshire offers a variety of flexible volunteering roles, so people can find something that fits with the time they have to give, ranging from helping out at regular meetings or supporting weekend events to running occasional sessions with different groups. There’s also plenty of call for help ‘behind the scenes’ with tasks like unit admin and book-keeping.
