New Year Resolutions are such a good idea — but how often have previous ones evaporated before January is out? These things are so much easier to keep going if we have support.
So, if your New Year Resolution is to get to grips with some (or all) aspects of computing, why not visit Clarborough and Welham IT Group? The Group meets weekly in Clarborough Village Hall (DN22 9LN), which is a modern, easy-access, building with a large car-park to the rear. Entrance to the hall is off Main Street (A620) directly opposite Clarborough’s Kings Arms.
The group has a very friendly — even slightly of-the-wall — atmosphere which has proven very popular over many years. If you feel rather tentative about getting to grips with computers, why not come along and enjoy both good tuition and support from folks who either have been (or still are) getting to grips with computers? Bring your own laptop or use one of the group’s Windows 10 machines. The group specialises in OpenSource applications, which means it can provide professional quality ‘office’, image editing and other applications for free. Come along to discover a new world!
Spring 2018 classes continue in Clarborough Village Hall week commencing 8h January, in the usual Tuesday afternoons (1.30pm to 3.00pm) or Wednesday mornings (10.00am to 11.30am) slots. Fees remain at just £15.00 for a five-week block. Classes run through 30 weeks each year — see www.cwitgroup.btck.co.uk or village hall posters for the calendar of dates through to July 2018.
