Friends of Bassetlaw Museum AGM

by | 7 March 2020 | Community facility, Heritage, Retford, Worksop

The Friends of Bassetlaw Museum will be holding their AGM on Tuesday 31st March. The event will take place at Bassetlaw Museum, Retford and will commence at 7.00pm. Following on from the very successful ‘Call my Museum Bluff’ which was held at last year’s AGM, Sam Glasswell, the curator, has devised another topic to interest and engage those present. Four characters from history will be present to promote their cause as to why they should remain in our historical memory. However, not all of them will be successful — your vote will count. Sound interesting? Why not go along and see what all the fuss is about?

Annual membership to the group is only £5.00 per adult, £3.00 under 18, or corporate membership at just £20.00. Remember, the museum covers the whole of Bassetlaw and members are welcome from outside the area as well. If you haven’t been to the museum it is well worth a visit and can be found at 40 Grove Street, Retford DN22 6LD. Membership forms can be obtained from the museum or downloaded from the website. Help to continue support of this fabulous facility by joining the Friends.

The Friends organise events, publish a newsletter for members, enable access to funds for museum projects and contribute to the purchase and upkeep of items in the collection. Your membership would enable this vital support to continue.
