Friendly Bridge

Bridge players of all levels of experience are invited to Retford Bridge Club on Tuesday 25th June, for a relaxed game of duplicate bridge. A limited number of hands will be played and there will be a coffee break of about 15 minutes. No partner is required as one will be found on the evening if you come alone: however, if you do come without a partner, please give Sandy or Mike a call to check there is a host available. If you play with the U3A on Monday afternoons, then you are more than welcome to visit and experience duplicate bridge. Similarly, if you only play rubber bridge at home then go and try duplicate. View the hands and results the following day on ‘Bridgewebs Retford’ to see how you have done. The club takes place at Hallcroft Community Centre, Randall Way, Retford DN22 7GR and starts at 6.55pm, finishing at 10.20pm approx. Table money is £1.50 per head.

The club’s afternoon bridge session every Wednesday has started well with five tables on the first two outings. Duplicate bridge will be played but the emphasis will be on enjoying the company and the bridge and there will be a tea/coffee break in the middle. The results will be available the following week. This session takes place at Ordsall Parish Hall, DN22 7TU and starts at 2.00pm and finishes by 4.30pm. Table money required is £2.00 per head, including tea/coffee and biscuits.
