Street furniture
Retford Town Centre Partnership has overseen improvement works to the seating area at the top of Union Street, adjacent to Arlington Way. The broken brickwork and bollard have been replaced and repaired. More improvements in the town centre are scheduled in August and September.
Upcoming event
Retford Business Forum has been awarded a UKSPF Arts and Heritage Grant to deliver the Retford Illuminate – Winter Festival of Light event on Thursday 11th December 2025. Working in partnership with Bassetlaw District Council, North Notts BID, and Discover Retford, a group of Retford schools will create lanterns to parade from Wonderland Bookshop on Carolgate to the Market Square, where there will be a range of stalls and entertainment.
