Art Exhibition by Ian Davenport

To Saturday 16th September

‘A Sense of Place’ is the first major solo exhibition by Tickhill based artist Ian Davenport. It represents work completed over the last 18 months whilst studying for a Degree in Fine Art. As a contemporary landscape artist, inspired by the open spaces and big skies of Northern England, this body of work describes an emotional connection to place through a bold use of colour, texture and gestural marks.

Art exhibition by Angela Larry

Saturday 23rd September to Saturday 18th November

The ‘Simple Things’ exhibition showcases watercolours and acrylic paintings by Retford based artist Angela Larry. Angela has been dealing with extreme anxiety and depression and creating art helps her through each day. She said: “To start with, it was so hard just to sit at a table let alone paint, but little by little it helped me through the hard days. That is why I called my exhibition Simple Things; they are the important things that make life worth living and special.”

Some of Angela’s work has been inspired by many walks she has taken with her daughter Lindsey and her little dog Coco. Together they have ventured across fields and strolled along country lanes, witnessing the beauty of nature and embarking on small yet memorable adventures.
