East Markham and Askham Gardeners’ Association will hold their annual Spring Flower Evening on Tuesday 14th April at 7.30pm, with members staging their entries from 7.00pm, at East Markham Village Hall (NG22 0SS). Everyone is welcome to this free celebration of spring flowers, including daffodils, tulips, polyanthus and arrangements of home-grown blooms.
By then, fortnightly trading at the Allotment Store will be well underway, taking place on Sunday 12th April and Sunday 26th April. Gardening essentials including compost, canes and fertiliser will be available, and members of the association receive a 10% discount.
Membership costs just £5.00 per household per year. This year is particularly special as the association will celebrate 50 years of organising talks, visits, trading and its annual shows – Spring, Summer and Autumn.
