The new racing season could hardly have started better for Retford rider, Scott Stone, as he contests the No Limits Premier 1000cc Championship. Racing at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk over the weekend of Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd March, he achieved a win and two second places in his class.
Last year, Scott enjoyed several successes at a handful of meetings, which encouraged him and his new sponsors to commit to all the Premier 1000 rounds in 2025, as well as additional races when possible.
This being the first solo race for the AMCO Yamaha R1 at Snetterton, achieving the perfect set-up of engine management, suspension, brakes and tyres was crucial. With advice from fellow competitors – such is the camaraderie in the No Limits paddock – and JR Performance, the bike was made more responsive. Scott managed to reduce his lap times by over two seconds across the weekend.
Several more riders have joined the Premier 1000 class this year, making the competition fierce. So much so, that to secure his race win, Scott set a new personal best lap time of 1 minute 55.583 seconds, averaging the three-mile circuit at over 92mph.
During April, he raced at Oulton Park in Cheshire with BMCRC, and Round 2 of No Limits Racing at Brands Hatch in Kent. As always, he extends thanks to his sponsors and supporters: @amcodistributors @rtmotorsretford @stonehaulage @ebcbrakesofficial @themisestateplanning @hocoparts @jrperformance @retfordmotorcycles @putoline @notsofastridercoaching @carltonautorefinishers @northnottshealth.
