By the time you are reading this, many people will have thrown caution to the winds along with their face masks and will be enjoying some unencumbered hugging with relatives and friends. Who can blame them after such a long period of deprivation? It’s a very tempting prospect, but the Wednesday Group will still be exercising caution in the interests of all our members and volunteers.
Much as they would like to throw open the doors, invite everyone in and provide all their normal activities and lunches, they think that is not very wise at present. For the foreseeable future they shall be offering reduced hours and socially distanced activities to keep everyone involved as safe as possible. They shall monitor the situation carefully, both the scientific advice and the response of their members and volunteers, and modify the service they offer accordingly.
They intend to work towards normal service as quickly as it’s safe to and hope that members will understand and co-operate with them to keep everyone safe.
If you care for someone with dementia or you yourself have a diagnosis, you may find help through the Wednesday Group or the Carers’ Group. For more information about either group contact Jan on 01777 709974 or email
