Join the Clays Gardening Club on Monday 2nd December at 7.30pm for its annual wreath making workshop. No experience or floristry skills are required as help will be on hand for you to create a beautiful wreath. The cost is £6.00 for members and £10.00 for non-members and includes a 12” moss ring, wire, some decorative items, and as it’s Christmas, a glass of sherry and a mince pie. Take along your own foliage and secateurs. To book a place, please contact Christine on 01427 884882.

The new year brings an exciting programme of events at the Club, starting with a visit from professional beekeeper and moustache wearer David McDowell, aka The Bee Farmer, on Monday 20th January. In February, gardening and horticultural writer Geoff Hodge returns on Monday 17th to share his expertise on propagation techniques. Don’t miss this one if you want to learn how to fill your garden with free plants! How do you rate your lawn? Is it simply a patch of grass or a lawn to be proud of all year round? Join them on Monday 17th March as Howard Drury offers an insight into how to create a perfect lawn and how to look after it.
