Clarborough & District WI

by | 6 May 2022 | Retford, Social Group, WI

The Clarborough and District WI meeting on Monday 9th May will be to decide on the resolution to submit to the national meeting.  Each year the WI will focus on an issue of major importance which the group aims to bring to the attention of the public and parliament. Their fight against microplastic fibres in UK rivers and seas has reached parliament and will be discussed again later this year.

Closer to home, they are hosting an afternoon tea for senior citizens in Clarborough, Hayton and Welham in celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee. This will take place on Saturday 4th June in the Village Hall, Clarborough. If interested, please contact Mrs L Baines on 07967 191007 or Mrs G Bennett on 01777 704711 to book a place.

If you are interested in attending one of the meetings, these are also the numbers to contact – or just turn up. They are a friendly bunch.
