Clarborough and District WI’s March meeting saw members welcome Yvonne Henson, who spoke on millinery. Many of the ladies are nervous about wearing a hat when it is required for weddings and special occasions, so the advice on how to wear a hat and what sort of hat will suit a particular shape of face was most welcome.
In April, Clarborough WI is extending an invitation to its sister groups in the Idle Valley when they are visited by Baroness Bolsover, who will talk about the occasion of Afternoon Tea. Members and visitors are invited to dress for the occasion, including a hat if desired.
Clarborough and District WI meets on the second Monday of the month at the Village Hall in Clarborough. Meetings start at 2.00pm and visitors are always welcome; there is a charge of £5.00, which includes refreshments and a raffle.
