Clarborough and District WI

Clarborough and District WI is a small but active group of ladies from all over the area, and this year they are celebrating their Diamond Jubilee. For 60 years members have been laughing, learning and supporting each other. Long may it continue!
It is good to be able to meet in person again and in July they enjoyed an introduction to tai-chi from James Davies. It was interesting to learn how martial arts moves had been adapted to form a gentle moving meditation. Very relaxing!
Throughout August they have been meeting up in small groups for evening strolls and morning coffee, and their little group of crafters are very busy producing lap blankets for Bassetlaw Hospice. On 13th September they hope to welcome Bonney Baggaley from the Hospice, who will tell the group about their work and explain what happens to all those blankets.
Their meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month at 7.30pm in Clarborough Village Hall. They always welcome visitors (£4.00 fee), but with the unpredictable COVID situation it is best to contact them beforehand on 01777 949847 or email
