Clarborough and District WI recently held its Annual Group Meeting, where Mr Neil Hanson, a biographer and former landlord at Tan Hill public house, entertained members from six local WIs. Tan Hill is known as the highest situated public house in England, and Mr Hanson shared amusing experiences from his time there.
The WI is eagerly looking forward to its 61st birthday meeting, where members will enjoy afternoon tea at the West Retford Hotel.
On 10th July, they will welcome Hook WI from East Yorkshire for a card making workshop. The WI does not have a meeting scheduled for August due to holidays.
Those interested in joining can attend meetings at Clarborough Village Hall, generally held on the second Monday of the month at 2.00pm. For enquiries, contact Mrs L Baines on 07967 191007 or Lucy Richardson on 01777 870054.
