Due to ill health, Clarborough and District WI’s February meeting saw a last minute change of speaker. Oliver Hill very kindly stepped into the breach with his entertaining talk ‘Tax, Estates and Toy boys’.
On 13th March members look forward to another visit from Elizabeth Banks, who will show her beautifully decorated eggs and explain the process and origin of this type of ornament.
In January, several members visited the Hostess Restaurant in Mansfield to enjoy an extremely good lunch in celebration of Robbie Burns, the Scottish poet. All the usual customs were observed and as this was a change of venue there was no restriction on ticket numbers.
If you are interested in joining Clarborough WI, meetings take place on the second Monday of the month in the Village Hall, Clarborough. They start at 7.30pm and you would be made very welcome!
