December brings a change for Clarborough and District WI as they are not hosting the Senior Citizens’ Christmas party this year, due to some of our members having health issues and a reduction in membership. The group is proposing to look at the future of this event next year and will keep everyone informed.
The WI’s programme continued with a Christmas Cracker workshop on 14th November and members will enjoy a small celebration on 12th December. Autumn meetings started in September with a very enjoyable evening when the ladies invited other WI groups in the area to share an evening’s entertainment consisting of a very lively talk on Lalique Glass.
The October meeting was an interesting look at an Edwardian Village. Mr Roy Evans showed slides and described the evolution of the village scene of many similar English villages.
If you wish to join the WI, you will be made very welcome. Meetings are on the second Monday of the month and are held at Clarborough Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm.
