Clarborough and District WI’s meeting on Monday 12th September welcomes Canon Dick Lewis to talk about Lalique glass. This is a fascinating subject as this is moulded glass and not cut glass, as might be expected for the price that these items realise at auction.
On 10th October, the group looks forward to hearing Mr Roy Evans speak on ‘An Edwardian Village in Pictures’. For those interested in social history this promises to be a pleasurable event and who knows – you may spot your ancestors!
WI meetings are held in Clarborough Village Hall and start at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome for a small admittance fee and refreshments are served later in the evening. Don’t be shy, go along and meet some new friends. They do sing Jerusalem but are definitely not making jam!
