Citizens Advice Bassetlaw has continued giving advice to those in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic, thanks to the tireless dedication of its staff and volunteers. The team quickly rallied to ensure as many people as possible could be helped over the phone or webchat. As part of Volunteers’ Week, which ran from 1st to 5th June, local Citizens Advice Bassetlaw thanked volunteers for their contribution not only during this exceptional time, but throughout the year.

Training Manager Judy Maher said: “Forty volunteers at Citizens Advice Bassetlaw have been flexible in maintaining high numbers of daily calls with their clients. Some volunteers have been pushed out of their comfort zone and where they used to prefer to provide face-to-face advice and support, they quickly adapted and learnt new skills to give the same level of service via telephone, emails and webchat. The speed at which they have learnt these new skills has been incredible!”
