Retford Business Forum (RBF) has again agreed to donate the funds raised from the fair at the Retford Christmas Market in 2018 to Bassetlaw Hospice. On 7th March, Bassetlaw Hospice Community Fundraising Co-ordinator, Debbie Rawlings, accepted a cheque for £350 from Rick Brand, Chair of Retford Business Forum.

Debbie Rawlings said: “It is great news that Retford Business Forum is continuing to support Bassetlaw Hospice. The Hospice serves everyone in Bassetlaw and we look forward to working closely with Retford Business Forum in the future.”

Rick Brand said: “Retford Business Forum will soon be announcing some exciting plans for ‘Sundays in the Square’ in Retford. One of the events being planned is ‘Square Deal’ day on Sunday 28th July, with charities and not-for-profit organisations having the opportunity to raise funds and provide entertainment. We will be working with Bassetlaw Hospice to help to make this a really successful event for these organisations.”

Other events in this series from RBF, supported by North Notts BID and Bassetlaw District Council, are ‘Square Fete’ on Sunday 26th May, and ‘Square Wheels’ on Sunday 30th June.

Retford Business Forum’s next meeting will be on Monday 1st April, at 5.30pm for 6.00pm, in the Council Chamber, Retford Town Hall. Members include a wide variety of businesses, not-for-profit, community and charitable organisations, and individuals who freely give their time to help Retford and its surrounding villages prosper, and continue to be a great place to live. The Forum is currently looking for a treasurer, please contact chair@retfordbusinessforum.org.uk for further details.
