Bluebell Wood quiz night success

On Friday 5th April the Retford Bluebell Wood support group held their quiz night at the Babworth Road Sports and Social Club — it was one of those evenings when, as the start time approached, the organisers were relieved to find supporters finally stopped coming through the door just as they ran out of tables.

Questions moved from the usual history and geography through to animals and ‘Bluebell Blue’ — do you know which Beatle wore blue denim on the Abbey Road Album? Attendees do — now!

With just six questions per section, they soon moved on when they faced a subject in which they had little knowledge, which was sometimes quite a relief, and after the first five sections, they took a break to enjoy refreshments before battling on to the final score.

Having raised a magnificent £683, the group would like to thank everyone who supported them on the evening. They would also like to thank Mark, Vicki and Matt at the Babworth Road Sports and Social Club, both for their sponsorship of the venue and their unfailing good humour and helpfulness. They look forward to returning there in the future.
With renewed energy their plans are well advanced for the Bluebell Wood Afternoon Tea at the Town Hall on Wednesday 26th June. This was a very successful event last year and the group very much look forward to welcoming everyone again in the summer.
