The building and refurbishment work is now almost complete at Bassetlaw Hospice. The team of staff and volunteers are planning their return to the North Road site in Retford. Work included the addition of two bedrooms, overnight facilities for relatives and a spacious new day hospice layout. There is an additional therapy room, training room and upgraded staff, service and storage facilities. The whole building had been re-decorated with the installation of new lighting, heating and bathroom facilities.
Ian Hall, from the charity, said: “It has certainly been a challenge for all concerned, however we are all looking forward to our return to the building. It is thanks to the ongoing support from the local community that we have been able to complete this project to provide facilities that will benefit local patients and their families now and in the future.”
