September Pyjama Walk
Saturday 27th September sees the return of the popular Pyjama Walk in aid of Bassetlaw Hospice. This fun family event follows an accessible circular route of approximately 2.2 miles in and around the centre of Retford, starting and finishing at the Support and Wellbeing Centre on North Road. Walkers are encouraged to wear their best pyjamas or onesies – teddy bears are welcome too – and keep an eye out for Bassetlaw Bear. Registration opens at 6.00pm for walkers to collect their entry numbers and leave a memory of a loved one on the illuminated tree outside the Hospice building. The walk will start at 7.00pm. At the end of the walk, everyone will receive a Pyjama Walk medal and enjoy complimentary hot drinks and biscuits.
All entrants aged five to 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Only assistance or guide dogs are allowed. Entry forms are available now from Bassetlaw Hospice charity shops and the Appeal Office. Entry is £6.00 for adults, £4.00 for children, and free for under-fives. October Gala Ball
Bassetlaw Hospice is delighted to announce its highly anticipated Gala Ball, taking place on Saturday 11th October at the Pheasantry Brewery, East Markham. Guests will enjoy arrival drinks at 6.00pm for 6.30pm, followed by a delicious three-course dinner, live music from Jessica Mary Brett, and a disco until midnight. The evening will also feature an auction of exclusive items and a raffle with exciting prizes – a wonderful opportunity to support the Hospice while enjoying a glamorous night out.
