Bassetlaw Community Car Scheme

by | 15 July 2019 | Gainsborough, Retford, Support Group, Worksop

The Bassetlaw Community Car Scheme is available to Bassetlaw residents, who are unable to access any other forms of public transport. The scheme can be used to visit friends or social clubs, attend doctors’ and hospital appointments, or maybe just go shopping. It is a door-to-door service; volunteer drivers will allow you one hour then take you home. If you know you are going to be more than an hour, there will be an additional charge for these journeys. To use the scheme, you must register. The scheme is run with volunteer drivers using their own vehicles, hence this is not an on-demand service. Three to four days’ notice is needed when booking a journey.

Please contact the Community Car Scheme Co-ordinator at Bassetlaw Action Centre (BAC) for further details — call 01777 709650, email The Misterton Centre and Library is affiliated to BAC, so enquiries can also be made there.
