The Bassetlaw branch of Parkinson’s UK celebrated HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style, with a coach trip to Brigg Garden Centre followed by a magnificent festive afternoon tea party in the restaurant.
The meeting on Tuesday 5th July will welcome Mike Storer talking about ‘Masters of Mirth and Music Hall Favourites’ and then Tuesday 2nd August brings Tony Brewer to explain why ‘The Camera Never Lies’. Meetings are held at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue, Worksop S80 1EN and new members are warmly welcomed almost every month.
The next meeting of the Lunch Club will be at The Lockkeeper on Tuesday 12th July at 12.00pm and the Carers Corner group will enjoy afternoon tea at the Aurora Centre on Friday 12th August at 2.00pm.
The autumn outing on 20th September will take the form of a coach trip to North Yorkshire and a visit to Eden Camp.
Members are urged to book their seats as the coach is filling rapidly. Pilates continues on Thursday afternoons at the Crossing.
