Cub Scouts (eight- to 10-year olds) have completed their Air Activities stage 1 badge, made clay volcanoes, coloured in poppies for a display in Morrisons and made spinners. They enjoyed a brilliant evening performance by the local
poet, Paul Cookson, followed by a movie, food and a sleepover in the hall. There was also an evening walk in Babworth Woods looking at the beautiful autumn colours – part of the Naturalist badge.
A minibus full of Scouts, Cubs and three adults went to Doncaster Aeroventure on Saturday 9th October and completed stage 2 of the Air Activities badge and parts of stage 3.
The Scouts have learnt how to safely wire an electric plug and light bulb holder and were given some tips about electrical safety. They had great fun making a wire buzzer game and all took them home. The Scout Group apologies to parents for the buzzer!
The Explorer unit has had fun with flour and Maltesers, made their own dominoes, played games and carved their own pumpkins.
