Aurora Wellbeing Centre

by | 7 September 2023 | Local Charity, Retford

Aurora is a cancer charity providing support in the local area for people living with cancer or a long-term health condition. But they are not just a cancer charity; they have a variety of support groups, counselling services and recreational activities on offer for the general public too as well as a charity shop and tearooms.

They had a very successful fundraising event last month at the Centre. ‘Pimms and Canapes’ with entertainment by local singer Ann Fotheringham, local craft and beauty stalls and a foot and hand massage were well received by everyone. Look out for this event next year and get your tickets early!

Spotlight on… Valerie’s Tearooms

Go along to their beautiful art deco inspired tearooms and enjoy a home cooked meal or cake whilst looking out over the Memorial Gardens. They have plenty of outdoor seating too, so why not stop off after a walk with your children or pets and have a relaxing snack? They cater for private parties either in the tearooms or one of their private rooms and they also take bookings for afternoon tea.

Christmas planning is well underway at the Centre and bookings are now being taken for their festive fayre. For more information or to book your party please contact Aurora on 01909 470985 Jenny by email on tearooms@aurorawellbeing.org.uk.
