An exhibition of work by Amina Khan at the Hub

The next ‘must see’ exhibition at Retford Hub features the work of Amina Khan. It is on now in the gallery and runs until 22nd June. Originally from Liverpool but now based in Gainsborough, she studied Fashion and Textiles at Manchester, completed a PGCE in Liverpool and qualified as an art teacher. In the course of her teaching career she was Head of Art in a preparatory school in Surrey. Numerous exhibitions of her work have appeared in Nottinghamshire, Surrey, Lincolnshire and Liverpool.

Amina said: “I am pleased to present my new collection at The Hub in Retford. It is both contemporary and abstract, and focuses mainly on my love of colour, pattern and texture. There are five themes: abstract paintings, floral, abstract landscapes, seahorses and butterflies and Pop Art. The work is varied and could be seen as a retrospective as it shows my progression over the years.”

Amina is also regularly in The Hub, where she runs holiday workshops for children, including this year’s series of summer holiday classes. These focus on defined skills and techniques, in levels from beginner. Contact The Hub for details on 01777 860414.
