A lively meeting

Attendance at Snappers Camera Club meetings continues strong and anyone who missed the October gathering missed a treat. Another new member joined at this meeting and was warmly welcomed. This was members’ opportunity to share images taken on the club visit to the Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield towards the end of September. The challenge topic for the month was to take 10 different shots while standing on the spot. It clearly taxed everyone, but equally made them think.

Kerry Muscott shared her digital images from the visit and, after a break, the two print enthusiasts – Peter Yeo and Des Llyod – showed their work for the challenge. Moving on to digital images for the challenge, it was clear that members had thought hard about how to get ten different shots from one point. They were taken at venues near and far.

It was a very enjoyable meeting with a lot of interaction between the audience and the people showing their work and plenty of laughs to help things along. Their next meeting will be on Friday 1st November at Beckingham. This will be a practical session of table top photography, hopefully with a Christmas theme. Members will bring things to photograph and their kit.

Snappers are always pleased to welcome guests and visitors between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on the first Friday of each month, so if you can get to Beckingham Village Hall, you will find a warm welcome.
